Abbas Sbeity
Founder & CEO
Abbas Sbeity is a design strategist and cultural practitioner working at the intersection of design, community engagement, and systems change. Based in Sweden, he divides his time between Helsingborg and Stockholm, collaborating with public institutions, cultural actors, civil society, and the private sector.
He leads two main practices: Creative Insights Studio, a consultancy supporting public, civic, and private clients with design strategy, participatory processes, and research for urban and organizational change; and Kulturrummet, a curatorial platform and space he founded to develop site-specific, community-driven programs exploring social, political, and urban issues through co-creation and cultural practice.
With over twelve years of experience in cross-cultural facilitation and management across Sweden, the MENA region, and the United States, Abbas brings a strategic and inclusive approach to participatory design and organizational development. His work spans designing workshops and learning programs, facilitating cross-sector collaborations, curating cultural events and exhibitions, and advising on innovation projects in public, civic, and creative sectors.
He has led regional learning programs and grant schemes for artists, journalists, and cultural practitioners across the MENA region, and served as program manager of Beirut Design Week (2015–2019). Abbas also teaches Design Theory and Management at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (Lebanon) and has been a guest lecturer in the Embedded Design program at HDK-Valand, Gothenburg University (Sweden).
He completed post-masters Curatorial Program at Konstfack in Stockholm (2024-2025). He holds an MA in Design from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts and a BA in Architecture from the Lebanese University. He was the founder of Architects for Change (2014–2019) and a member of the MENA Design Research Center. Currently, he serves as a Forum Member at the European Philanthropic Initiative for Migration (EPIM) until 2027.
Hazni Demir
Project Manager
Hazni Demir is a dynamic cultural manager with extensive experience in the creative industries, event management, and community-building initiatives. As the founder of Swing Helsingborg Dance Community, Hazni has successfully bridged cultures through dance, fostering local and international collaborations, including Erasmus+-funded programs.
With a strong fundraising and cultural production background, he has worked with the Şermola Performance Theater Association on multiple EU-supported projects and as an event coordinator at VentureLab by Lund University, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. Hazni holds a Master's degree in Service Management from Lund University, supported by the prestigious Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals. Fluent in English, Swedish, Turkish, and Kurdish, Hazni brings a global perspective to his work in fostering cross-cultural connections through arts and community initiatives.

We actively collaborate with subject-matter experts to respond to specific briefs and projects. Our experts come from international networks of creatives, makers, designers, evaluators, urban practitioners, researchers, artists, cultural managers, and project managers.
Research Lab Residency Program
As part of our local engagement in Helsingborg, Creative Insights Studio offers a paid research residency for two students or recent graduates at our Research Lab.
This four-month program allows residents to work on a focused research project while receiving mentorship and support from our team.
The program is designed to help participants gain professional experience in Sweden and build pathways to the job market, fostering personal and professional growth.
